A Chinese proverb attributed to Lao-tzu says, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." This website chronicles our trip to China to welcome Eleanor Jiangnan Love, the newest addition to our family.
Eleanor: "Mommy, when's that girl coming back to visit? The one who went to the fair with us?" Mommy: "Oh my little confection, I'm not as sharp as I used to be -though I do believe that 43 is the new 25. Still, I'm not quite sure who you are talking about." Eleanor: "That ....how you say it, mommy - sweet nectar blonde? Of indescriminate age. Insightful, but with freakishly small breasts." Mommy: "Oh yes. Auntie Lynette. I hope to invite her soon. We have so much to talk about!"
